Welcome to the DCA
We are a UK trade association working exclusively for the domestic cleaning industry.
We’re here to support both the service provider and the client, as well as offering training for those currently involved in our industry, or anyone wishing to join it. Formed in March 2014, the Domestic Cleaning Alliance gained immediate popularity amongst cleaning businesses countrywide.
In March 2016 the DCA was officially launched by Mr Simon Hollingbery, chairman of the British Cleaning Council, and has continued to go from strength to strength. The DCA is delighted to to be the only association representing the UK domestic cleaning sector who sits on the members board of the British Cleaning Council . Read all about how we earned our place here.
So what makes the Domestic Cleaning Alliance as successful as it is? Well, everything about the DCA is steeped in first-hand experience. Each and every member of the team is the owner of a cleaning business and knows the highs & the lows of doing so. None of us are afraid to get our hands dirty – literally. Whatever the cleaning task, so long as it falls into the category of “housework”, you can be sure we’ve proudly done it ourselves, many times.
In a time of recession and cut-backs, the UK domestic cleaning industry has remained buoyant countrywide. We know that domestic cleaning businesses are usually overwhelmed with work and are mostly only restricted by an inability to find more and more high-quality staff. We know where cleaning businesses are needing our help and support, and we work hard to channel our energy into these areas accordingly.
Despite the number of people currently out of work across the UK, our industry continues to struggle to meet the demand for domestic workers. As well as supporting our members with their staff and staffing issues, one of the main aims of the DCA is to make everyone aware of our industry and highlight the numerous career opportunities available.
